Chris Brown Responds
The new year has just begun and singer Chris Brown is being accused of punching a woman in the face during a party in his Las Vegas hotel suite.
The incident allegedly occurred after the R&B singer caught the woman taking his photo in the early hours of Saturday morning at the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas, TMZ reported.
A picture published by the website showed the woman with an obvious black eye.
Liziane Gutierrez, the alleged victim, who wanted to be identified by the website despite the accusations, told TMZ she had snuck her cellphone past Brown’s security guards.
After Brown spotted her taking his picture, she told TMZ, he yelled and punched her once in the face and took her phone.
Gutierrez, who is a Brazilian model, left the party, only calling police some hours later, and was not treated at hospital.
CHRIS BROWN RESPONDS
Vegas police confirmed to local news outlet Las Vegas Now that they were investigating Brown for battery and theft and that the incident was reported to them at 10.20am on January 2.
Brown posted a now deleted video to his Instagram that was first re-posted by celebrity gossip site, The Shade Room Inc, where he labeled Gutierrez as ‘ugly’ and denied her claims against him.
‘Obviously somebody is looking to get a check or start some s***,’ the singer known as Breezy said in the beginning of the video while appearing to be spaced out and rubbing his head.
‘I don’t know this old looking b****. This b**** is old, like dusty, look at her in the Jason Derulo video.
‘Like she came to Vegas, she probably came to my room and was too ugly to get in.’
In the now deleted post, Brown wrote in the caption: ‘Just woke up and saw this!!!! You know this is bulls***!’
‘This woman has the worst case of the uglies (sic) I’ve ever seen. I guess she is in Vegas hoping someone will slip up and mess wit (sic) her. Lol.’
A representative for the performer, who recently released an album named after his daughter Royalty, denied Gutierrez’s claims earlier Saturday.
In October 2015, Gutierrez was photographed in a yellow thong bikini while on the beach where it seems she approached Rod Stewart who was in Brazil for a concert.
She was also filmed by TMZ in August 2015 outside a Hollywood night club after Jason Derulo just finished performing.
Video published by the website shows her clearly upset that her friends left her to get inside Derulo’s vehicle, and texting her to get in a Uber to follow them.

Hours before the alleged incident occurred Saturday, the 26-year-old’s successfully gave a New Year’s Day performance at popular night club Drai’s – where he is being considered for a lucrative residency deal after signing on for a short deal last fall.
This is not the first time the father-of-one has been accused of violence.
In May 2015, Las Vegas police said they were seeking him in relation to a fight on a private basketball court also at the Palms resort and casino, CNN reported. His spokeswoman at the time denied that he was involved.
The year before, Brown pleaded guilty to simple assault in September 2014 for a case linked to a brief fight on a Washington, DC sidewalk in October 2013.
The singer was sentenced to time served and paid a $150 fine.
Three people were shot at a pre-awards party that Brown hosted during the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, including former rap mogul Marion ‘Suge’ Knight.
Brown’s numerous court appearances first started back in 2009, when he physically assaulted then-girlfriend Rihanna just hours before the Grammys, leaving her face and body battered and blue.
In June that year, he pleaded guilty to felony assault and was placed on probation as well as being ordered to do community service and attend domestic violence counseling.
He only completed his probation in March of 2015 after having to serve time in jail for violating it.
Early on in his career, Brown spoke about the violence he witnessed first-hand growing up, as his mother was allegedly beaten by his step-father.
STATEMENT FROM BROWN’S ATTORNEY:
Making false accusations seems to be a pattern of behavior for Ms. Gutierrez. Whatever her motives, her statements are unequivocally untrue.
Ms Gutierrez was escorted out of the private after party at the Palms Casino Resort for being disruptive and out of control. Once she was in the hallway, while waiting for Chris Brown’s security to bring out her phone, she had a total meltdown-throwing her purse to the ground and claiming that she ‘could buy everyone in the hotel’-as witnessed by numerous people waiting to get into the party. The Palms Casino Resort security also saw her wild behavior via hotel security cameras and immediately came up to the hallway to escort her out of the hotel.
Her claim that she had her phone in her possession inside the after party and was able to take a photo causing an altercation with Chris Brown is a complete fabrication. I’m not sure what mood altering substances Ms. Guitterz was on but her statements are completely false and not based in reality. This seems like a clear case of retaliation for her bruised ego.
Due to the domestic violence conviction against Rihanna, Brown was denied an entry visa into Australia and forced to cancel his One Hell of A Nite tour in Australia and New Zealand.
At the time while trying to plead with government officials to allow him to come, Brown sent out several tweets.
‘I would be more than grateful to come to Australia to raise awareness about domestic violence,’ Brown tweeted. ‘Im not the pink elephant in the room anymore.
‘My life mistakes should be a wake up call for everyone,’ he continued.’Showing the world that mistakes don’t define you. Trying to prevent spousal abuse.’
In 2010, the crooner was banned from traveling to the United Kingdom, and this past February, he was blocked from performing in Canada.
Additionally, his scheduled appearance on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah was canceled at the last minute in December without any explanation.
Brown’s planned appearance on the Comedy Central show had reportedly caused disagreements among staff members including several writers and producers.
Before his New Year’s Day party Brown had took to the stage in front of a capacity audience at Drai’s.
There he showed off his sprawling tattoos and went shirtless during his show, while sporting a new pair of recently released Adidas Yeezys.
The Grammy winner arrived for his show in a red and black checkered shirt with a distressed jean jacket draped over the garment.
Brown flashed a peace sign as he hit the red carpet, wearing a blue baseball cap with two cardinals emblazoned on the front.
