Drake Houston Concert Shooting
MUSIC: DRAKE HOUSTON CONCERT
(UPDATE: SHOOTING HAPPENED IN THE PARKING LOT OF THE CLUB)
Shooting occurs at Houston night club. According to reports, rapper Drake was in attendance at some point in the evening. The shooting occurred early Tuesday morning. The shooting occurred at popular V Live Club where Drake has performed.
According to ABC 13 Houston two people were injured during the shooting. According to officers, Ricky Lunford was shot in the face and taken to the hospital. Officials say the man is expected to survive. According to Lunford’s family, he is in surgery and has lost one eye.
Lunford’s family claims Ricky was at the concert hoping to meet Drake. There were around 200 people inside the club located at Greenridge and Richmond. The shooting took place at 4am.
Investigators say they have reports of multiple shooters and multiple victims.
A second victim was taken by a private vehicle to the hospital.

Officers are working to talk to witnesses and gather more information.

“Right now, we don’t have any real good witnesses. We don’t know who was shooting or why. We’re attempting to get some witnesses to talk to us and once we do that we’ll try to figure out what happened,” said Lt. Larry Crowson with the Houston Police Department.
Drake has held a series of concerts in Houston, a place that the rapper considers his musical second home.
