Future’s New Song

Rapper Future’s new song “How It Feel” appears to reference his ex-fiance singer Ciara in an angry and derogatory manner.

Future, whose real name is Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn, released his latest single to the public. However, fans quickly examined the lyrics of the song compared to other songs. From the monologue in the beginning to key parts in the chorus, Future appears to insult a nameless woman. For example, in various lyrics, he states that “I gave you fame on a grail” and “Ask me how it feel when we thought you wouldn’t be sh*t.” Furthermore, throughout the song, he constantly refers to a “b*tch” in his life.

From his history alone, many fans take the comments to refer to Ciara whom he shared a lengthy unfriendly relationship. The two previously dated and became engaged in October 2013. However, Ciara quickly called off the engagement in August 2014, leading to an intense feud on Future’s part. Throughout the past few years, Future led constant arguments against Ciara, claiming that he never cheated on her.

Ciara went on to date football player Russell Wilson, but Future, as well as his fans, continued to attack the singer in her actions. Most recently, the two faced each other in an ongoing lawsuit that eventually went in Future’s favor. Regardless of whether Future had a defense for his actions, many fans can clearly detect the animosity between the stars.

For now, neither Future nor his representatives confirmed Ciara as the subject of the song. Still, fans are apt to attach Ciara’s image to someone Future would call a “b*tch.”

Currently, Future and Ciara also share a son named Future Zahir Wilburn, born on May 19, 2014.
